Last Friday, I held a press conference together with the management of Indah Water Konsortium (IWK), JKP Zone 4 and residents of Taman Subang Permai in USJ 1 to announce the construction of the new wall surrounding the IWK plant. Early last year, the residents approached my office for assistance to resolve their concerns on dengue, unpleasant odour caused by the IWK plant and the broken fence surrounding the plant. You can read about the earlier posting here.
Next to the plant is a field frequently visited by children. IWK had then promised to build a new wall surrounding the IWK plant for safety purpose. They have also done maintenance works on the plant to resolve the odour issue. The RM110,000 400m-long wall will be completed by end of this month.
The residents of Taman Subang Permai who highlighted their concerns to me are very pleased to have their problems resolved. They are seen here with their thumbs up! You can read more about it from the articles in The Star and Komunitikini.
